Sarah's Workshop will have a new site up soon.

There will be a new Sarah's Workshop website live soon.

I have taken the theme of Work, Shop and Play for this Sarahsworkshop site and rolled it into one big Information site for the whole family.

As work ethics start at a young age, I start my "Work area" with an Education Page with resources that can be used by all ages, and links to recommended educational sites from preshcool to Uni students.

The Work area is a training workshop for Work from Home people. I show you how to get started on the Web and give you access to many resources and information to help you promote your site or links. These resources are available to all web users to use. Why go to hundreds of sites to try and find information, when you can link to all the resources you need from one site.

After a hard day at work, you may need to do a little shopping, so I have added a Shop from home area, With links to the a few of the best Shopping Sites and I have a little book shop of my own with a few unique items due for release soon which will only be available from my Book Shop.

Once all the hard work and shopping is done, you need to relax, unwind, take your mind off the many things you have been doing all day, so I added a Play area. There are things for all the family, from a safe games page for the little kids, News, Sports, Music, Games, and many more.

You will be introduced to my new "Web Surfing Backpack" program, I had made to save your favorite Web pages in. The program has password security and two modes, so parents or trainers can set up programs and by using "user mode" the users can link to the sites in the program, with out touching any of your details. I used the Web Surfing Backpack to save all my sites while I have been building this new Sarah's Workshop site, and I could not do without it.

You will be able to follow the process of my own Home Workshop, as I develop my unique Thylacine Collection. As the collection become available they will only be available online through my Workshop Site. If you don't know what these elusive Tasmanian animals are, you will be able to get all the information on my new site.

I will keep you informed on the progress of the new Sarah's Workshop site, for now I use my computer localhost program to develop the site.

You can view my first Sarah's Workshop site at http://www.sarahsworkshop.com/ It also caters for the work at home person, but with a totally different feel, and totally different information. It is a large site, so be prepared to spend some time there to get the most from the site.

Thankyou for reading and come back soon

I use my computer to promote my website, it is so Important

I use my computer to promote my website, it is so important that you get traffic, or you will not make any money from your site.

To get traffic to your website, you need to advertise. There are many ways to advertise, from Word of Mouth to a Fully Paid Advertising Campaign, but what if you don't have the money to pay for advertising, your just starting out or you simply can't afford to pay, then here are a few ways to get your message out there.

You can promote your site or offer with a blog, like this one, writing your own interesting articles, adding your own photos or comments to interesting items you found on the web, which relate to the site you promote. Writing a blog is not enough, you need to let the world know what you have posted, you need to ping your site. What's That! When you have your Blog pinged, your blog information is sent out to many sites, and lets the blog search engines know your site exists.

I have used two Blog Pinging sites, there are others, the first is at Pingomatic and the other is at Pingoat. I also have my Blog listed at Technorati this site has an excellent search feature, to help people find the information and blogs that they are interested in. There are many such sites.

Another fun way to promote your website, is with traffic exchange. The principal of traffic exchange is that you look at other peoples sites or advertising, in exchange for having your site advertised. It doesn't sound all that interesting, but these sites have interesting ways of making it fun, and I have lernt so much from looking at these sites. You can choose the subject that you are interested in, so the sites are relevant to your likes, and every so often you find a site that you find extremely useful. It is free to sign up for these sites, and if you need extra adds, then you may sign up for extra packages.

The last way of getting Free Advertising, is to get a program that allows free advertising. Megapromoter is not free to join, but the one time fee gives you free advertising, free products, way more value than the cost. You become a member of their forum, so you can ask and get help setting up your adds, you get a choice to sell their many products and make money, and you can get free traffic to your site. Have a look at what is on offer, and even if you decide not to buy Megapromoter, there is a free info pack on advertising, well worth your trouble for looking.

I hope this will give you some information to help you advertise your site.

The Internet Knows What You'll Do Next, article

This article, by David Leonhardt, is about the introduction of Google Trends, and the new way we now can find information on Internet searches.

Here are a few snippets:

A FEW years back, a technology writer named John Bagatelle began talkingabout how the Internet had made it possible to predict the future. When people went to the home page of Google or Yahoo and entered a few words into a search engine, what they were really doing, he realized, was announcing their intentions.

A few weeks ago, Google took a big step toward changing this — toward making the database of intentions visible to the world — by creating a product called Google Trends. It allows you to check the relative popularity of any search term, to look at how it has changed over the last couple years and to see the cities where the term is most popular. And it's totally addictive.

You will find the artical at

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/05/business/05leonhardt.html

As I use my computer a lot for research, I have added Google Trends to my toolbar. It it handy to know what the percentage of traffic for a keyword is, so to extend on this information, I recommend you also try Wordtracker to compair your keyword phrases. You need to know if you are going to get traffic for a given phrase.

When I use my computer for searching the Web, Search Toolbars & Utilities help save time.

This is a great page from Search Engine Watch, great tools to help you surf the Web.

Check it out and see what you think!

Search Toolbars & Utilities

By Danny Sullivan, Editor-In-Chief

There are a variety of ways you can search and navigate the web without first going directly to a search engine.Search toolbars provide direct access to search engines from within your browser, while meta search utilities make it easy to search more than one search engine at the same time. Search companions often helpyou "discover" information as you browse pages on the web.

Jump to:
Search Toolbars From Major Search Engines
Other Search Toolbars - Meta Search Utilities
Search Companions - Articles About Search Toolbars
Removing Adware/Spyware

I added this information for when I use my computer, and I hope you find it useful also.

I aim to use my computer to be an e-entrepreneur

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
Author of "Dotcomology - The Science of Making Money Online"

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work from home and make money on the Internet. But before you even turn on your computer, the first question you have to ask yourself is whether you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t for everyone. Some people like the commute. They really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what to do, and they like the routine of working nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful, self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t happen without effort. It didn’t happen without at least some initial investment of both time and money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now without me making sure that the taxes are filed and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my business makes. If you’re prepared to give an e-business the time, the work and the money it needs to get started and get growing, it can happen for you too.
